Product Details

Description

This product is the antibody raised in mouse against the human CD14 on the region 20-345aa, which is the mature extracellular portion of the protein in its membrane-bound GPI-anchor form. This monoclonal antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG1 purified by protein A with a purity greater than 95% and has reactivity against the CD14 from human, mouse, and rabbit. This antibody can be used in ELISA, Western blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC), Immunofluorescence (IF), and Immunohistochemistry (IHC), in immunology studies for characterization of disease immune pathways and how the immune system engages in pro-inflammatory processes caused by pathogens. The human monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 participates in the activation of the innate immune response. The CD14 protein is detected in the surface of monocytes and by most tissue macrophages. CD14 regulates immune response against bacteria by recognizing the bacterial LPS and also induces cellular and immune responses against diacylated and triacylated lipopeptides, and electronegative low-density lipoprotein (LDL-).
